Mary Posadowski, the youngest of five children, grew up in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island and became an English teacher. She also worked as a resource teacher and in the area of off-campus education. She taught mainly in high schools in the United States and Canada.
Mary currently lives in Calgary, Alberta, with Walt, her husband of thirty-six years. They have three daughters, Tracy, Patti, and Kelly, and two grandsons, Seth and Rhys.
Mary has always been a sports enthusiast and has made it a priority to incorporate personal fitness into her daily life. She also loves to travel, read and play golf. Recently she has begun to learn how to play bridge.
